Education - Quality Engineer Preparation

This intensive 30 hour course will provide the participant with a complete and extensive knowledge of the essential elements required to insure the consistent quality and continuous improvement of your organization, division, department or daily life. The course is strongly recommended as a primer for a participant who has elected to sit for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Examination.

Education and/or Experience:

Need 8 years on-the-job experience in one more of BOK, which incl. a minimum of 3 years in a decision-making position. This may or may/not incl. mgt or supervisory positions. If you have completed a degree from a college, some of the 8 years may be waived:

  • Diploma from a technical or trade school – one year
  • Associates degree – two years
  • Bachelors degree – four years
  • Masters degree – five years

Nicholas D. Skovran is Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and is responsible for operations excellence and quality practice. Strategic Initiatives assists organizations to excel in today's dynamic business environment. This is accomplished through a diversified array of speaking, consulting, and seminar activities. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Engineering Degree from the University of Dayton.

He is a Re-Certified ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, a RABQSA-QMS ISO auditor, a Senior Member of ASQ, and a member of the American Statistical Association.
