ISO/Quality Assurance Manager

Job description (Tasks/Primary Responsibilities):

This position will have responsibility for ISO compliance for all facilities, including our Canadian location. Also responsible for providing Quality Assurance support to the Quality group. This position will report to the Director – Quality and Product Development. Job responsibilities will include: Maintain all required processes and procedures for ISO certification process including ISO 14001 certification. Provide assessment and drive continuous improvement of the quality and regulatory programs for the company through management of internal audit programs. Support Quality Management Systems and ensure effective execution of all quality principles and supporting quality processes. Responsible for maintaining the Quality metrics system. Responsible for documentation and record control. Conduct Quality Assurance compliance audits of products and procedures. Developing manufacturing processes, procedures and checklists as necessary. Perform incoming inspection of supplier, vendor and customer-provided products. Investigate and define corrective and preventative actions pertaining to internal and supplier notifications and RMA’s. Work closely with Operations Quality to assure applicable systems are in place for the identification, processing and disposition of non-conforming materials provided by suppliers or OEMs.

Skill Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Technical field; (may consider work experience in lieu of degree). 5-7 years Quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge and experience in an ISO 9000 environment; auditor certification a plus. Knowledge of Canadian ISO requirements a plus. Ability to travel 15% of time to Canadian facility.
