Director, Quality Assurance

Job description (Tasks/Responsibilities):

The position has flexibility in base location and will support several manufacturing facilities both domestic and international. The base location can include the headquarters in Pittsburgh. The position includes frequent travel to support the manufacturing operations and visit customer locations.

This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. The candidate must have solid experience leading a quality function and deploying quality systems. A key responsibility for this role will be to engage and lead process improvement across the organization using Lean / Six Sigma and other tools. Lead the Quality Assurance function for the manufacturing organization driving process improvement from design through manufacturing.

Skill Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, prefer an Engineering or Technical degree.

  • Seven or more years related work experience including 3+ years at the manager level.
  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma deployment.
  • Strong Quality Systems experience.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ including support of an international manufacturing site.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of leading process improvement across multiple sites. The candidate must have a track record of effective customer interaction.
