Job description (Tasks/Responsibilities):
The Quality assurance manager is responsible for planning,
facilitating, & prioritizing all quality management system related tasks. Quality assurance manager responsibilities include, but are
not limited to: Planning, facilitating and supervising priorities of work for
the quality control department; coordinating plant wide training programs;
creating & reviewing inspection, product validation and sampling plans;
planning & facilitating requirements associated with APQP, PPAP's & NCf's; measuring the quality
management system performance using tools such as benchmarks and Pareto charts;
completing employee performance reviews as required; and complete all other
duties as assigned by the supply chain manager and or plant manager.
Skill Requirements:
Formal six sigma training with certification greatly
desirable. Formal lean manufacturing training is greatly desirable; preferably
with certification as a Lean Six Sigma Sensei. 5 to 7 years experience in inspection is required. 3 to 5 years leadership / managerial experience required.
Effective written & verbal communication skills required.
SPC (Statistical Process Control) experience required. APQP (Advanced Product
Quality Planning); PP AP (Production Part Approval Process) & NCI (New
Component Introduction) experience required. Lean manufacturing experience is
preferred. Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred. Blue print interpretation skills are required.
Furthermore, GD&T experience is desirable. Experience with all types of
hand / measurement tools is desirable. CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
Experience is desirable.
