Job description (Tasks/Responsibilities):
Responsibilities include: supervising
inspectors, maintaining the ISO 9001: 2000 quality systems and associated
documentation, create and maintain part inspection plan, coordinate and control
the internal audit system including assignment of audits, monitoring auditor
performance and training of internal auditors, maintain regulatory compliance
and support source audits/inspections, perform root cause analysis, identify
and implement corrective actions to eliminate root cause for both internal and
external sources, analyze returned goods, follow the six sigma DMAIC
methodology, perform statistical analysis, machine/process capability studies,
implement and maintain SPC on selected operations, interact with all
departments and other facilities as necessary and be available for travel to
other Sherwood facilities, customers and suppliers as directed.
Skill Requirements:
Proficient in
drawing/blueprint reading, inspection gauging, gauging instruments, layout,
measuring techniques, ISO 9001, 2000, SPE documentation, and auditing
experience. Computer literacy using MS applications required and JD Edwards experience
preferred. Person must be a self starter and communicate well.

Education Requirements:
Four year degree in Engineering, Science,
Technology or BA with technical competency, Certified Quality Engineer with
five years QA experience in manufacturing environment, two years in supervisory
roles, required.
