Quality Engineer II

Job description (Tasks/Responsibilities):

The Quality Engineer is the primary driver of service quality in Corporate Operations. This specific role resides in the Bank Operations area, which is responsible for check processing and adjustments. The role will be focused on building a quality system, and streamlining processes associated with the Adjustments Department.
Responsibilities include:
Using Lean principles to streamline Adjustments processes. Working with other Bank Operations departments to reduce adjustments / rework. Building and maintaining a core quality system based on ISO9001:2000. Using statistical analysis to identify the root causes of processing errors. Developing and implementing key performance measures related to quality, cost and productivity. Reporting on quality metrics and quality-related issues to management. Coaching team members on the use of quality tools and problem solving methods. Writing standard operating procedures and inspection documents.

Skill Requirements:

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in the quality assurance field. Experience in leading project teams in the application of Lean / process improvement tools (5s, process mapping, value-added analysis, etc). ASQ Certification a plus. Training in Lean / Six Sigma skills a plus.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
